No Kings 2
On Saturday, October 18, 2025, Wake Forest Indivisible joined others across the United States and in foreign countries in the second "No Kings" protest. In over 2500 separate rallies, all held on the same day, concerned Americans raised our voices and our signs, marching against authoritarianism in favor of our Constitution, the rule of law, and respecting individual and institutional rights, including the right to speak out against the government.
We represent the people in the USA that stand for freedom, democracy, and the safety of everyone in our country whether they are residents or visitors, regardless of race, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
Media Coverage
Our rally was peaceful with no incidents and was well-received by the media. We had three speakers who are non-incumbent candidates for Wake Forest mayor and town commissioners:
-
Haseeb Fatmi, candidate for town commissioner, Haseeb for Wake Forest
-
Commissioner Ben Clapsaddle, candidate for Mayor
-
Jasmine Zavala, candidate for town commissioner. Jasmine for Wake Forest
Wake Forest Indivisible is a non-partisan organization, and does not endorse candidates, but we would like to set the record straight regarding misinformation about one of these candidates.
Haseeb gave a rousing No Kings Speech, which was trolled by the far-right on social media. Wake Forest Indivisible offers these citations as FACT CHECKS.
