Honoring Renee Good

On January 10th and 11th, Wake Forest Indivisible joined the tens of thousands of people in Minneapolis protesting Renee Good's killing. Part of a nationwide call to action, over 1000 protests popped up overnight across the US as outrage boiled over against the brutal and unlawful tactics federal agents are engaging in, terrorizing communities and ripping families apart.

37 year old Renee Good was a mother and a peaceful protester who was shot multiple times, including in her face, on January 7, 2026 by federal immigration enforcement agents. Videos taken by Minneapolis residents gave the world and our country the ability to see for ourselves what happened that day, instead of relying on the false claims made by the Trump administration's Kristi Noem, who claimed Good "attempted to run a law enforcement officer over,” calling it “an act of domestic terrorism.”
Immediately after the incident, before an official investigation, Noem held a press conference regarding the incident in which she claimed Renee Good was a domestic terrorist who surrounded and attacked the officers. Noem said Good attempted to run the officers over and ram them with her car. In this interview following the press conference, Noem doubles down on her statements, continuing to defend the agents' actions. This video analysis of the incident, providing actual footage of the event, has called Noem's statements into question. Judge for yourself. Does Renee Good look like a domesting terrorist to you? Does it appear in this video analysis of the incident as if Good was attempting to run over a law enforcement officer?
